    Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi  Storyline:

In the film, Sanjay (played by Naga Shaurya) and Anupama (played by Malavika Nair) meet as juniors at an engineering college in Vizag and quickly become close friends. They decide to pursue their Master's degree together in the UK, where their friendship blossoms into a romantic relationship. However, something unexpected is revealed about Anupama that causes Sanjay to distance himself from her.

To find out what the reason for Sanjay's actions are and what happens to Anupama, viewers will have to watch the film. The story is sure to answer all of the audience's questions and keep them engaged until the end.

    Plus Point :

The movie features a simple yet engaging storyline, and the chemistry between Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair is commendable. Their on-screen interactions are enjoyable, and both actors deliver strong performances.

Naga Shaurya, in particular, stands out with his impressive acting skills and charming screen presence. His portrayal of the lead character is one of the highlights of the film.

Malavika Nair also shines with her emotive acting and her ability to convey her character's feelings convincingly. Her appearance and expressions are well-suited to her character's emotional state.

Abhishek Maharshi delivers a noteworthy performance in his role, while Megha Chaudhary and Sri Vidya also do justice to their respective characters. The background score adds to the overall mood of the movie, especially during the emotionally charged scenes between the lead pair.

    Minus Point:

Srinivas Avasarala is a renowned director known for his entertaining rom-coms such as "Oohalu Gusagusalaade" and "Jyo Achyutananda". However, his latest release, "PAPA", fails to deliver his trademark witty dialogue and engaging storylines.

The film's biggest issue is its confusing narrative structure. Avasarala experiments with a non-linear screenplay, which results in a lot of confusion for the audience. The story is presented in seven different chapters, with different timelines, leading to further disorientation.

The conversations between the characters are often dry and fail to hold the viewer's interest, making the film feel tedious. The lack of comedy and the abundance of bland scenes in the latter half of the movie only compound this issue.

Additionally, the emotional scenes in "PAPA" feel artificial, and the conflict between the lead characters comes across as trivial. The film's climax also feels rushed and unsatisfying.

Although Avasarala tries to bring a fresh technical approach to the movie by using sync sound, the sound quality is poor, and some of the dialogues are difficult to understand. Overall, "PAPA" fails to live up to the high standards set by the director's previous works.

    Special Aspects:

From a technical standpoint, Srinivas Avasarala's direction in PAPA is decent, but as a writer, he falls short of audience expectations. This may be disappointing for fans of Avasarala's previous works. The background score by Kalyan Malik is melodious and the cinematography by Sunil Kumar is satisfactory, but the sound quality and DI could have been improved. Additionally, the film could benefit from more editing in both halves.

    Judgment:

Overall, Phalana Abbayi Phalana Ammayi is a dull romantic drama with weak storytelling. However, Naga Shaurya and Malavika Nair deliver noteworthy performances. There are a few good comedy and romantic scenes, but the movie lacks a compelling narrative. Viewers who enjoy slow-paced love stories may appreciate the film, but others should consider alternative options for entertainment.
