Renowned Bollywood actor Manoj Bajpayee has recently spoken about his immense admiration for fellow actor Shah Rukh Khan. In an interview with The Lallantop, Bajpayee revealed that he holds great respect for Khan, particularly because he witnessed the Bollywood superstar rebuild his life and establish his own place in the industry after experiencing immense personal loss.
Bajpayee is currently preparing for the release of his upcoming courtroom drama titled "Sirf Ek Bandaa Kaafi Hai," set to premiere on ZEE5 on May 26. Directed by Apoorv Singh Karki, the film follows the story of a lawyer fighting against a formidable system.
Reflecting on their early days in the profession, Bajpayee fondly recalled his friendship with Shah Rukh Khan. He expressed his happiness at seeing Khan achieve such incredible success and create his own unique world, despite having faced unimaginable adversity at a young age. At 25, Khan had tragically lost his entire family. Bajpayee commended Khan's ability to overcome these hardships and build his own space in the industry, creating a new family for himself and earning tremendous fame and respect along the way.

Bajpayee went on to emphasize that he has a deep respect for Shah Rukh Khan because he was one of the few friends who witnessed Khan's struggles firsthand. He stated that he could never harbor any bitterness towards Khan's success, as he has seen Khan's journey and the hardships he had to endure. The two actors may not have the opportunity to meet as frequently as they once did, as both have built their own separate worlds, but they maintain a mutual respect for one another.
During the interview, Bajpayee also mentioned that he and Shah Rukh Khan used to meet regularly and even worked together for a period of time. However, due to their busy schedules and personal commitments, their meetings have become less frequent. Nevertheless, their admiration and respect for each other remain intact.
In his most recent project, "Gulmohar," which is currently streaming on Disney+ Hotstar, Bajpayee portrayed Sharmila Tagore's onscreen son. The film also featured Simran and Suraj Sharma and was directed by Rahul V Chittella.
