It has been reported that FairPlay conducted screenings for the 2023 Indian Premier League (IPL), and Viacom 18 had filed a complaint against the app.

FairPlay is linked to the Mahadev app, which was promoted by Saurabh Chandrakar and Ravi Uppal. Currently, the Enforcement Directorate (ED) is investigating the Mahadev Book app for possible money laundering activities. Several well-known personalities, including Ranbir Kapoor, Huma Qureshi, Kapil Sharma, Shraddha Kapoor, Sanjay Dutt, Suniel Shetty, and Tiger Shroff, were allegedly invited to Chandrakar's wedding in February this year.
