No Hard Feelings Trailer

The first trailer for ‘No Hard Feelings’ is out - featuring Jennifer Lawrence, who delivers an incredibly bold performance as she portrays Maddie, an unemployed Uber driver in a coming-of-age comedy.

The trailer reveals that Maddie faces difficulties while trying to connect with Percy, as he misunderstands her attempts to get to know him as a kidnapping plot. Additionally, a humorous moment shows Percy drunkenly punching Maddie in the throat while she argues with an older man. However, Maddie perseveres and gradually helps Percy build self-assurance while offering him advice about childhood.

Who is involved in the production of "No Hard Feelings"?

Gene Stupnitsky, the director of "No Hard Feelings," began his career in the entertainment industry as a writer and director on popular TV sitcoms, including "The Office," where he worked on episodes such as "The Lover" and "Michael Scott Paper Company." Alongside Stephen Merchant, Stupnitsky created his own show, "Hello Ladies," which followed the story of a socially awkward Englishman in Los Angeles trying to become a ladies' man.

Stupnitsky's first writing credit for a feature film came in 2009 with "Year One," a comedy starring Michael Cera and Jack Black. He also worked as a writer for the film and TV series adaptation of "Bad Teacher." In 2019, Stupnitsky made his directorial debut with "Good Boys," a comedy produced by Seth Rogen and Evan Goldberg, starring Jacob Tremblay, Brady Noon, Keith L Williams, Molly Gordon, Lil Rel Howery, and Midori Francis.

The movie tells the story of a group of young boys on a mission to fix a broken drone before their parents return home. Stupnitsky co-wrote the script for "No Hard Feelings" with John Phillips, who was also an executive producer on "Good Boys."

Production

The highly competitive R-rated comedy package supported by producer-star Jennifer Lawrence and director Gene Stupnitsky was won by Sony Pictures in October 2021. This victory came after intense competition with studios such as Apple, Netflix, and Universal Pictures, and Sony plans to release the film theatrically exclusively.

The production team includes Lawrence, Alex Saks, Marc Provissiero, Naomi Odenkirk, and Justine Polsky as producers, while Stupnitsky co-wrote the screenplay with John Phillips. In July 2022, Sony confirmed its plans to release the film theatrically on June 16, 2023.

In September 2022, Andrew Barth Feldman joined the cast as the male lead, followed by the casting of Laura Benanti and Matthew Broderick as the character's parents. Ebon Moss-Bachrach also joined the cast, with Natalie Morales and Scott MacArthur joining in October 2022.

Principal photography for the film began in late September 2022 in Nassau County, New York, with various locations such as Hempstead, Point Lookout, Lawrence, and Uniondale serving as backdrops.

The film's production team transformed Ted's Fishing Station in Point Lookout to look like "Montauk Dock East." In October, filming also took place at the North Shore Animal League America in Port Washington.
